Welcome to third grade! This is my seventeenth year teaching and I am looking forward to working together with you to help your child have a successful third grade year. I received my Bachelor’s degree and Teaching Credential from California State University, San Marcos, and began teaching a bilingual kindergarten class in 1993. I received my Master’s degree in Education from Belmont University here in Tennessee, and have taught kindergarten, third, and fourth grade. I serve as the Hands-On Science facilitator and I facilitate Family Math workshops here at Shayne Elementary. I have also taught 5-10 year old karate classes, and VBS at my church.
My husband and I have been married for sixteen years, and we enjoy hiking, roller coasters, going for walks, reading, and supporting the baseball and football teams that he coaches. I also enjoy training in the martial arts and playing with my pug, Zeke.
